How do you guys know each other?

We met at our first job, over 10 years ago, in Aspendale Gardens! 

We are both huge fans of hiking, yoga, pilates, the beach, fresh fruit, science fiction and of course saunas
🚲🏝️🧘‍♀️🌵🫐🛸

So what does the name mean?

Aalto is a Finnish word we found when we were researching the history of saunas. We just knew it perfectly captured the ambience we wanted to create. 

We thought it had to be paired with something, something juice-adjacent (“Tonic”) because that’s our post-sauna ritual 🍊

What’s your ideal day off?

A: I love an early morning and starting my day off at hot mat pilates before going for a hike - my favourite spot is Bushrangers Bay! I wind down at night by watching a movie or gaming 🎮

K: If I'm not having a little sleep-in, you’ll find me at the morning reformer class; earning my post-workout almond croissant before wandering around the local grocer to find inspiration for my next recipe. I recently made oyster mushrooms with a maple/chilli oil glaze 🍯🌶️

What’s your coffee order?

A: definitely an oat chai latte 🌻

K: either a soy latte or a matcha from soulpress (always iced!) 🪩
